In this week's Student Corner, we have colorful drawings from Jeson and Mackenzie in our Primary classroom. Jeson's creation was inspired by an underwater photo and Mackenzie's bountiful drawing of fruit is so very whimsical. From our Lower Elementary classrom, we have a melodic poem from Thalia that is sure to sing to you.
Of course we cannot forget about budding writers in Upper Elementary. Alessandro and Gabriella are joining Kaleigh, Alexandra, Andrew, and Catherine from last week in presenting their Start-and-Stop Poems for your enjoyment. We also have our first poem inspired by our Geneva Wilderness Field Trip by Joshua. Joshua chose to write a Windsparks poem that is based on a 5-line stanza (although the students could truly do whatever they wanted with it). The first line always begins "I dreamed..." The second line tells what you are, the third tells where, the fourth is a verb and the last line is an adverb. In the weeks to come, you will find additional Windsparks poems as well as other nature based poetry by our imaginative Upper Elementary students!
